Participants will line up in front of Rusty Bucket on Market Street. Ample parking is available. See parking map.
 
The results will be posted on the New Albany Walking Classic® website shortly after the completion of the event.

Can't walk in person? Register as a virtual walker! As a virtual walker, you can walk the 10k distance (6.21 miles) or 5k (3.1 miles) at a venue of your choice. It can be in a park, on the streets in your neighborhood, on a treadmill or as a part of another race. You are required to complete the 10k distance or 5k distance between 9/7/25 - 9/21/25. You can choose to walk your distance in segments. For example, you might complete the distance on two separate days. Although we cannot monitor whether you complete the 10k distance or 5k distance, we will rely on your honesty. Most importantly, get out and move!

There are many benefits to participating in the New Albany Walking Classic® as a virtual walker.

• Your race garment and medal will be mailed to your home between August 21, 2025 and September 2, 2025 so you don't need to attend packet pickup.

• 100% of your race fee will be donated to our 501(c)(3) non-profit, Healthy New Albany, so you will be able to help our cause.

• As a virtual walker, you will not be participating in the New Albany Walking Classic® on race day in New Albany, which means you will not worry about parking, crowds, weather, travel and bathroom stops.

As in previous years, we are offering a Competitor Division. Walkers who choose to sign up as a Competitor will receive special bib numbers and will be granted access toward the front of the starting line. To be considered a Competitor, you are seeking to vie for an overall reward.

Corrals: To reduce congestion on our beautiful race course, corrals will be implemented again this year.

We'll have Finish Line Engravers on-site to help you commemorate the day and get your name and time on the back of your medal. If you would like to pre-purchase your engraving, this is the place to do that!

No refunds will be given for purchases of any Finish Line Engravers work, all sales are final.

• Overall awards will be given to the top 3 female and male finishers in each division.  We will also have age group awards. The breakdown will be under 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 -59, 60 - 69, 70 - 79, 80 - 89 and 90+ both female and male for each division.
